How to store and maintain BOPP tape jumbo rolls to prevent aging?

1. Control temperature and humidity, keep dry and cool.

It is recommended to store Bopp tape jumbo rolls in a temperature-controlled warehouse with a temperature of 14-26℃ and a relative humidity of 45%-65%.

Use a dehumidifying box or vacuum-sealed bag, and place silica gel desiccant inside each roll to ensure the relative humidity is below 30%.

2. Avoid light and direct UV exposure.

BOPP film is sensitive to UV rays; long-term exposure will cause yellowing and embrittlement of the adhesive layer. Store the tape rolls on light-proof metal or plastic shelves, away from windows and strong light sources.

3. Prevent mechanical damage and warping.

Use flat pallets or wooden supports to support the rolls, avoiding excessive stacking that can cause indentations. The rolls should be kept naturally loose; never tie them tightly with ropes or forcefully compress them.

4. Maintain ventilation and check regularly.

The warehouse should be well-ventilated to prevent moisture condensation. Quarterly temperature and humidity measurements should be taken of the storage environment, and the tape surface should be checked for signs of aging such as mold or decreased adhesion.
